Rare painting with stippled surface.
Born in Launceston, Tasmania in 1951, David Keeling studied at the Swinburne Film and Television School, the Tasmanian School of Art, the Alexander Mackie School of Art, and completed his Masters in Fine Art at RMIT, Victoria, in 1999. He has held over 40 solo exhibitions though out Australia and has been a finalist in many prizes, having won the Glover Prize twice. His works are held in major public collections including, National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of Victoria, Art Gallery of South Australia, Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, Launceston and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, as well as the collections of the University of Tasmania, Hobart and Launceston, Deakin University, Monash University, and a number of private collections in Australia and overseas. He currently lives and works in Hobart.
