Provenance By descent families' aunt; The subject, Joanne Locke is the owners aunt. Joanne (Approx. 1915 - ??) was a model, later moving to America. This branch of the family lived in Sydney and commissioned the work privately, the other branch of the family lived in Tasmania. Correspondence from the sitter to her late husband accompanies the work.
