Lendis grew up in Nottingham studied at Nottingham College of Art and Design to settled in Australia two years later. In the early 1980s, he moved from Sydney to Tasmania, where he went on to complete a Master of Fine Arts (painting) UTAS
John's work has always been about his personal relationship with the landscape or place where he lives. He continues to describe his life as being caught between two worlds - while his life in one place is a physical truth, so his emotional or spiritual relationship to another place is equally so. His paintings deal with stories of migration, travel, crossing borders and often collide binaries such as wilderness/culture and interior/exterior. While living in England again, he still spends regular time in Tasmania and his work is as much about living between two landscapes as it is about either place.
He has had more than 20 solo exhibitions both here in Australia and internationally.

Mathew Carney was a sculptor and specialized in mild steel works as well as lost wax bronze.
Matt completed a Bachelor of Fine Art UTAS in both sculpting and painting, then apprenticed himself to well-known Australian sculptor Stephen Walker as an assistant in bronze casting. During this time he completed several major public works and maintained his own studio.
The nineties found Matt in London where Richard Branson recognised the theatricality of his sculpture background and he was hired as a creative consultant to design and fit out the interiors of Branson’s Voyager Club Empire.
Collections include: Arts Tasmania, Leonard Bernstein Collection NYC, Richard Branson Collection; London and private collections in America, Japan, England and Singapore.

The well-trodden landscape around Castlemaine is reborn in the vivid, psychedelic canvases of Melbourne artist, Jack Rowland. His works explore the notion of altered perception with an intense palette of hyper-real and oversaturated colours combined with a realist style of technical painting. The genre of landscape is embedded in the history of art; yet, in the contemporary art climate, it is often considered to be exhausted or even mundane. Through his paintings Rollins breaks the traditional ties of the genre of landscape painting and re-instates its position in contemporary art.

Born Hobart, Enlisted WWI Ross Driver 2nd Australian Divisional Artillery and after demobilisation spent some time in England.
His actual registration papers in The Australian War Museum are valuable as they also show the actual document with his signature so that becomes an important primary source for reference.
Studied under Mildred Lovett at The Hobart Technical College, was a council member of the Art Society of Tasmania 1930-52 taught at the HTC 1945-1949.

Art Brenner was an abstract sculptor and painter born in New York City in 1924. He spent the later decades of his life in Paris, from 1964 until 2012. Brenner’s first solo show was held at Galerie Lucien Durand, in Paris, in 1967, and from then on his acclaimed work became an international success
Brenner created many sculptures for public, architectural settings. In 1971, he wrote an article for Leonardo magazine (produced by MIT Press) entitled “Concerning Sculpture and Architecture,” in which he observed that the development of larger sculptures had “quickly moved sculpture from the private to the public sector, that is towards a renewal of its relation with architecture.” Brenner suggests that monumentality in sculpture was a direct product of Modernist thinking in architecture, and uses this as a call for architects and sculptors to collaborate to create public spaces that are not merely functional, but aesthetically satisfying environments for living. Brenner created works in public spaces, and in conjunction with various building projects around the world.
Brenner was also an astonishingly capable painter. His works created in the 1950s reflect the Abstract Expressionist movement of the time. He clearly brings his spatial sensibilities from sculpture, to his canvases, but his color is careful, and unflinchingly unique. His works from that time are gestural, with controlled, but choppy swaths of color, whispering, interrupting each other, and creating a vibrant plane of conversation on the canvas. Brenner brings a spatial awareness that can only be a product of his years of sculpting and unique vision.
Brenner enjoyed solo and group exhibitions across the globe, in cities including Paris, London, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Montreal. His work is held in public collections in France, Spain, and in the United States He was inducted by the French Government as “Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres,” the French equivalent of induction into the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
